Jawz and Jazzy
Jawz the Jaguar, the ultimate cheerleader of IU Indianapolis athletics since 2006! This powerhouse is all about that fierce, swift, and confident vibe, with some seriously impressive cat-like dance moves to boot. Catch him hyping up the crowd at Jaguar games or just having a blast at campus events!
In 2015, the fabulous Jazzy the Jaguar burst onto the scene! Spreading spirit, making friends, and showing extra love for women's sports events, Jazzy is the life of the party where she roams.

Mascot Request Form
Our mascots review the log daily and sign up for events they are available to attend. Once a mascot confirms availability for your event, you will receive a confirmation email.
Here are some important requirements and guidelines to ensure a successful mascot appearance:
- Costume Time and Breaks: For health and safety, mascots can only perform in costume for 30-45 minutes at a time. They must rest for at least 10 minutes between each performance period, especially for outdoor or physically demanding events.
- Private Changing Space: A private, secure area (not a public restroom) must be provided for the mascot to change and rest. Maintaining the mystique and anonymity of the mascot is essential, and a private area is critical for this purpose.
- Maintaining Anonymity: The mascot’s identity must remain a secret. They do not speak while in costume, nor can they reveal who they are to anyone.
- Transportation for Off-Campus Events: For non-athletic off-campus events, transportation must be arranged and provided for the mascots.
Safety and Comfort: The mascot reserves the right to leave any event that is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for their performance.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth experience for the mascot and your event attendees. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out to Maggie Boone at magregan@iu.edu.
